It's a rare feat for an entertainment act to celebrate a 50th anniversary, but everyone knows
the Osmonds are a rare treat. Performing together for the first time in 27 years, the clan pulled out all the stops for a sold-out crowd at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in 2007. The concert includes all of the chart-topping hits by each incarnation --
the Osmond Brothers together, then
Donny and
Marie, each as a soloist. The
Osmond Brothers hits "One Bad Apple," "Down by the Lazy River," "The Proud One," "Having a Party," "Double Loving," and "Yo Yo" are all there.
Donny's stint includes his solo hits "Breeze on By," "Puppy Love," and "Soldier of Love."
Marie's solo set includes "Paper Roses" and a Broadway medley. Slice it any way you want, but
the Osmonds' musical prowess has been practically unparalleled for half a century, never going out of style, never acting in bad taste, and always entertaining. [Please note that some of the aforementioned tracks are featured exclusively in Collector's Edition CD and DVD packages.] ~ Jared Johnson
