Eight years after she released her first solo singles and completed a shelved album for Universal Motown,
Mila J returned on Motown proper with this EP. The sound of contemporary R&B didn't change drastically during the period she spent out of the commercial mix. She slips back into the scene with a few adjustments to her songwriting and vocal approach -- she's tougher, more hedonistic, and much more explicit, leaving nothing to the imagination -- while the productions still strike a balance between low-slung slow jams and sleek party anthems. Three of these five songs are propped up by appearances from
Ty Dolla $ign,
B.o.B, and
Problem. ~ Andy Kellman
