The Beatles. Marching Bands. A match made somewhere very much south of Heaven. Hearing
the Band of the Irish Guards have their way with songs like "Yesterday," "Michelle," and "She Loves You" is really something that no one needs to experience. OK, maybe once for about ten seconds, but then any novelty value the disc might have has worn off and you are left with plodding, inane arrangements of
Beatles songs played by the stiffest marching band this side of anywhere. Most of the songs aren't even taken at marching tempo, so the whole marching aspect of the project is lost. Maybe if the Grambling University Marching Band took a crack at these songs you might have something worth a listen. As it is, this is probably one of the worst
Beatles-related albums ever. ~ Tim Sendra
