Madonna's Maverick, so the album was also launched in the United States and other Latin American countries. Entirely composed and produced by the band, this artistically represents a more accurate mix between rock and electronica than their debut,
Emporio Bizarro. Distorted guitars and electronica unite to create violent textural landscapes (only altered by the calm "Ultramar"), but that's not the band's primary focus. That is kept to verse-chorus song structure. Along with that musical approach, the lyrics are a trip through a high-tech world. The first single, "Rockstar," was a homage to
David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust. It was the last album recorded with Mr. Pop on vocals and Osko on guitars (they were fired after the first international tour). Early copies were printed with a bonus CD including remixes from
