COMPILATION

Much in the manner of Dueto Las Palomas, sister act Las Hermanas Padilla was a distaff duo whose trademark harmonies made them an essential part of the world of traditional Mexican music. As such, it's only natural that they be included in the MEXICANISIMO series that honors the great old-school Mexican artists. Over the course of 15 tracks, we hear the pair working their vocal magic on boleros, rancheras, and more, sometimes over simple acoustic accompaniment and sometimes situated atop a rich orchestral backdrop replete with horns and strings, but always full of true Mexican soul.
