Electric Touch's 2012 sophomore effort,
Never Look Back features more of the dance-rock ensemble's melodic and catchy alternative pop. Once again featuring the vocals of British-born/Texas-based Shane Lawlor, the band brings to mind a mix of the snarling swagger of early
Billy Idol with the more anthemic post-punk revival of
the Killers. To these ends, we get the glam rock/Brit-pop of "Beautiful Mess," the uplifting orchestral anthem "I Can't Wait," and the propulsive and debauched "Human Factor." Ultimately, as with
Electric Touch's 2008 self-titled debut,
Never Look Back is an engaging pairing of British pop swagger and American rock muscle delivered with an eye to get you on the dancefloor. ~ Matt Collar
