Just two years after his third effort, I Could Not Plan This, American rapper Witt Lowry returned with Nevers Road. Beginning the LP's rollout almost as soon as I Could Not Plan This landed, Lowry released a steady stream of tracks -- "Hurt," "Ghost," "Crash," and "Piece of Mind 4" -- throughout 2019. Keeping in theme with Lowry's introspective and emotionally heavy content, Nevers Road featured less-menacing production than its trap-indebted predecessor and displayed deep ruminations on growth and struggle, recruiting guests Dan Haynes, Deion Reverie, Whatever We Are, and frequent collaborator Dia Frampton. Upon release, the set debuted within the Top 100 on the Billboard 200.
