On all but one of the nine cuts, namely "I Got My Mind Made up to Serve the Lord," it's impossible to hear whether, besides the lead voice of
Little Joe Willie Ligon,
the Mighty Clouds actually sing on this album. The fact that The Perfect Praise Foundation Choir accompanies
Ligon on almost all the songs to the exclusion of almost all quartet harmony backgrounds leads one to believe that this is a gospel choir collection and not a
Clouds set. There are slick, trendy arrangements produced by Frank Wilson and Tracey Hampton with keyboards, drums, bass, guitar, and synthesizer. It was recorded in 1989 in Hollywood and Houston. ~ Opal Louis Nations, Roots & Rhythm Newsletter
