The nice thing about the "nude" rhythm is that while it thumps pretty hard it is still melodic and open enough to allow the singers plenty of room. That's probably why the always-smooth
Sean Paul comes off the winner here, with
Lady Saw and
Wayne Wonder running neck-and-neck for second.
Ce'cile's "Black Man," is a sultry kind of incredible, and
Mr. Easy's "Shotta," gleefully bounces between
R. Kelly-styled swagger, and out and out goofiness. There are quite a few unknowns included here, but the quality overall is surprisingly good.
