Another one of Thump's Lowrider-related releases -- not to be confused with Lowrider Oldies, Lowrider Bass, Lowrider Classics, Lowrider Fiesta, Lowrider Madness, Lowrider Super Show, Lowrider Jams, or Lowrider Legends Tour 2003 (among others) --
Old School Lowrider focuses on electro and hip-hop tracks from the mid-'80s through the early '90s, with highlights coming from the likes of
the World Class Wreckin' Cru ("Surgery"), Candyman ("Knockin' Boots"),
Ronnie Hudson ("West Coast Poplock"),
Deuce Mob ("Harder & Harder"), and
Sue Gatlin ("Two of Hearts"). The disc does have its share of memorable, fun material, but it's far too spotty to be a bright spot in Thump's extensive catalog. ~ Andy Kellman
