An early LP by
Nat King Cole's brother
Freddy that suffered from bad packaging and promotion. Recorded in Europe, producer
Marcel Stellman did a fine job on the tracks, which consist of fresh originals and a couple of remakes -- "Isn't She Lovely" and "Hello Like Before" -- that deserved better.
Freddy's voice is lighter and doesn't have the resonance of his big brother, but it is warm and has a way of caressing lyrics that keeps you interested. Very competitive with the romantic albums cut in this era by others.
