Following the 2006 album
Death of a Dead Day -- and a seven-year hiatus from 2008-2015 -- revered tech-metal band Sikth return with a six-track mini-album. Their signature sound was retained despite the long gap, with complex time signatures, heavily structured riffs, and underlying grooves. The 30-minute runtime encompasses four high-energy tracks, a spoken-word piece in "Tokyo Lights," and closing ballad "Days Are Dreamed." ~ Liam Martin
