In June 2003, Michigan native
Jill Parr released her sophomore album,
Orbit. The follow-up to her 1998 self-titled debut, the album offers listeners an alternative pop style.
Parr has a strong voice, similar to that of
Lisa Bevill and
Margaret Becker. However, the album tends to be somewhat over-produced. The arrangements seem at times too cluttered, which distracts from
Parr's vocals and the lyrical content. Songs include "This I Know" and "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You." ~ Ashleigh Kittle Slater
