Unwritten Law's 1996 debut CD,
Oz Factor, sounds like a lighter-weight and much lamer version of
Green Day's
Dookie, having the same power pop take on skatepunk. The "best" songs on the CD are "Denied," "Tell Me Why," and yet another song using a superhero as a metaphor, "Superman." There is nothing on this album, however, to distinguish it from the myriad of other punk revivalists.
Oz Factor contains no magic, thin vocals, and unmemorable lyrics. Pass. ~ JT Griffith
