Pay Victoria is a boring rock record that tries too hard to sound like someone else.
Hum Machine provide an aggressive, guitar driven fuse of rock and belted vocals that are led by an occasional solo. But even their indie formula of complex structure fails to save this album from automatic comparisons and monotonous flow. ~ Mike DaRonco
