Sprung from obscurity into the contemporary country music limelight, red-blooded Texan
Pat Green rode a wave of grassroots support to success, despite not having the all-reaching tendrils of a major label behind him. That all changed eventually, but he's continued to produce quality, rootsy music without giving up much of the independent spirit that won him all of those fans in the first place. Now, after seven full-length and two live records, he's been honored with the country music community's trophy of choice, the faceless bluegrass tribute album.
