Influenced by the icy synth pop sounds of
a-ha and
Pet Shop Boys, and the cinematic balladry of
Sigur Rós,
Polarkreis 18 is the self-titled debut album from the German six-piece fronted by
Felix Räuber. The 2007 release features 11 experimental electronic tracks produced by
Jochen Naaf (
PeterLicht), including the instrumental "After All, He Was Sad."
