The always proper singer/composer
Fátima Guedes brings another album full of sensitive and swinging songs by her and other highly talented composers in acoustic versions and economic keyboarding with excellent backing musicians. "Violão" opens the album with a lyrical fable about the creation of the violão (Brazilian acoustic guitar). Northeastern frenetic swing and sensuality is found in the frevo "Vô Alfredo" by the excellent Guinga/
Aldir Blanc. Djavan is present with his "A Rota Do Indivíduo" (with Orlando Moraes), and Lenine/Dudu Falcão are represented by the exquisite accordion-backed blues "O Silêncio Das Estrelas." Of course, excellent originals, like "Faca," are also found. ~ Alvaro Neder
