This LP claims that it has "Unprecedented Hi Fidelity." The streaky sound quality of these bootleg live recordings makes a joke out of that statement. Taken from a few club appearances during 1950-52 and featuring tenor-saxophonist Lester Young, trumpeter Jesse Drakes and either Kenny Drew, John Lewis or Wynton Kelly on piano, these six standards have seen better days. Young has a few swinging solos but the crowd noise gets pretty distracting at times.
