Raja Ram's Stash Bag was certainly a too safe compilation of well-mixed psy-trance, but it was still a bit more up and happy to be there than a great deal of similarly packaged releases. Those not previously familiar with the genre were given a reasonable rundown in the form of
Logic Bomb,
Space Tribe,
Shpongle, and Talamasca, and those who were enjoyed
Raja Ram's orbiting mixing method, letting the tracks, even ones of average quality, percolate around a strung-out backbone of born-again tension and stupidly rich color-beats. It wasn't special, but it was effective, an entertaining if useless exercise.
