Vitor Ramil is a composer of hits in the voice of artists such as
Kleiton & Kledir. This is a heavily personal work, completely independent of pop grooves or formulas. An acoustic album where he delved deeply in the rich folklore of Rio Grande do Sul state, which, due to the neighbor Argentina, is influenced by its milongas and tangos. The cold weather also makes it a very different Brazil than the one expressed through the common image of that country. Even the Portuguese idiom took so much re-elaboration there that it constitutes almost a dialect, which is explored poetically here. Maybe the only openly commercial appeal of the album is the insertion of Indian sitars and tablas, which, together with the Brazilian sound, inscribe the release in a fashionable world genre. But it hardly will make it to Brazil's mainstream radio outside
Ramil's home region. Nevertheless, it contains excellent music, poetry, and arrangements executed by some of the best musicians in Brazil.
