Less than a month after the release of the brief, personal
Freda's Son EP, Atlanta's
YFN Lucci issued his debut studio album,
Ray Ray from Summerhill, in March of 2018. Including the singles "Boss Life" (featuring
Migos'
Offset) and "Street Kings" (with
Meek Mill), the ambitious 20-track outing ranges from heavy trap bangers to more introspective, confessional cuts. Other guests include
Wale,
Dreezy, and
T.I. Following its release,
Ray Ray became
Lucci's most successful project to date, hitting number 14 on the Billboard 200 and number six on both the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Albums charts.
