Rebell Ohne Grund is German rapper
Prinz Pi's 11th solo album, and as on his previous records, most of the music is produced by his frequent collaborator Biztram, who employs a wide range of different sounds including acoustic and electric guitars, organ, saxophone, and chiptune-based electronic flourishes.
Pi himself sees Rebell Ohne Grund as his most personal record, and his songs include political commentary ("Drei Kreuze für Deutschland"), cultural observations ("Generation Porno"), several relationship stories ("Eifer & Sucht"), and a battle rap spoof ("Der Neue iGod"). The album, which features guest appearances by
Frauenarzt and
Raf Camora, among others, reached number nine in the German album charts, making it the rapper's most successful record to date. ~ Christian Genzel
