Reconquering the Pit is overflowing with impeccable double bass drumming, shredding solos, and of course, Cookie Monster vocals: all crucial elements for your next death metal party. If you're looking for no-frills extreme metal, then tunes such as the title track and another exquisite title -- "Sound of Breaking Bones" -- should do.
