Despite the gleefully immature gross-outs that make up most of the college comedy Road Trip, the movie's soundtrack is a surprisingly diverse collection of hip-hop, Brit-pop, dance, metal, and alternative rock. Though
Kid Rock's "Early Morning Stone Cold Pimp,"
Twisted Sister's "I Wanna Rock," and
Run DMC's "It's Tricky" provide plenty of machismo and aggression, the album gets downright quirky with
Ween's "Voodoo Lady," the Eels' "Mr. E's Beautiful Blues," and
Supergrass' "Pumping on Your Stereo." Ash's "I'm Gonna Fall," Minnie Ripperton's "Inside My Love," and
Groove Armada's "I See You Baby" are some of the other highlights of Road Trip's soundtrack, which also features
Tom Green's "Salmon Song." An appropriately fun and unusually eclectic album of film music. ~ Heather Phares
