Rubby Haddock's efforts to capture the public, which at the time was infatuated with the romantic salsa craze. This LP was somewhat ignored by the media, perhaps because of the over-saturation of airwaves, all willing to profit from a growing fad. In all,
Haddock retains the big band set-up, which, fortunately, yielded good musical results. "Soldado del Amor" is the better-known cut of the album. The rest of the material has a curious, by-the-numbers quality, but that should not make romantic salsa fans look the other way. This is the third album produced by
Haddock for his own record label, RH Records.
