Bishop Dennis Leonard and the 200-voice Heritage Christian Center Mass Choir make an auspicious debut on Send It Down. Recorded live at the Heritage Christian Center, the members of this vocal aggregation deliver a musical package that should endear them to the staunchest gospel music fan. Kicking the project off is the high-powered, urban-flavored title track, "Send It Down." Another distinction that adds credence to this project is the number of guest appearances from some of the gospel music industry's leading vocalists. The choir's EMI Gospel labelmate Beverly Crawford lends her enormous talents to the tracks "You're Still Good" and "Jesus Will Fix It," the latter finding her joined by noted worship leader Byron Cage. Tata Vega, noted for her work on the Andrae Crouch classic composition "Oh, It Is Jesus," appears on the track "Praise Him All Ye People." Derrick Brinkley does a masterful job on the praise & worship ballad "Give Him the Highest Praise," and Lisa Page-Brooks is equally as brilliant on the track "Still on the Throne."
