Once again, it falls to Japan's Sublime label to introduce one of the States' most richly talented yet unrecognized producers. Cleveland's Warren D. Harris seems to be following the same dancefloor route chosen by his mentor, fellow Ohioan and Sublime "discovery" Dan Curtin. SEVERANCE, Harris' first full-length offering as Hanna, testifies that the spirits of Detroit techno, jazz, and fusion flow through his veins. Like other producers who have been associated with Curtin's Metamorphic label, Harris cuts jaunty techno tracks full of sunny melodies, airy strings, lithe, jazzy synth-play, and sharp programming.
