David T. Chastain's 1995 version of his self-titled band was one of most refined lineups to date. Without abandoning the guitarist's unmistakable take on heavy metal, the band is more diverse and adventurous, even allowing themselves to rely less on
Chastain's guitar. While the result may be somewhat disarming, the music is by and large first-rate, particularly the vocals of the group's new lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Kate French. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
