German rapper
Massiv isn't one to stay idle for very long: not even a year after his two 2011 albums -- the controversial Blut Gegen Blut 2 and Eine Kugel Reicht Nicht -- he delivers a follow-up. Solange Mein Herz Schlägt is
Massiv's seventh solo album (eighth if you count his 2004 debut under the
Pitbull moniker), and its release coincides with the publication of his autobiography of the same title (which hit stores one month after the album). The record finds
Massiv in an introspective frame of mind, with many tracks featuring moody piano and strings. Guests include Sefo,
Manuellsen, Jelisa, CJ Taylor, Beirut, and Granit. Solange Mein Herz Schlägt charted at number 18 in Germany and is also available as a premium edition with a T-shirt and a bonus CD containing B-sides, instrumentals, and remixes. ~ Christian Genzel
