While
Reamonn insist they're only on an indefinite hiatus, the successfully launched solo career of their singer,
Rea Garvey, prompted the other four members to start a new band with singer
Thomas Hanreich (aka thom., best known for his contributions to the 2004 soundtrack of
Wim Wenders' Land of Plenty).
Stereo Loves You, the 2012 debut album from
Stereolove, is a departure from
Reamonn's sound, with only the first single "This Is It" showing traces of the band's past. The rest of the record features a stylistically diverse selection of pop songs, from the subtle electronics of "Fallin'" to the big-band swing of "Love of My Life" and the piano balladry of "Once."
