Het vijfde studioalbum Sterker van Nick & Simon deed het in de voorverkoop zo goed dat het bij de release in 2012 al goud was. Het betekende het zoveelste succes voor het Volendamse duo, dat in 2006 zijn debuutalbum uitbracht. De zestien nummers van Sterker zijn vrij divers. Nick (Schilder) en Simon (Keizer) wisselen vrolijke popnummers als “Onweerstaanbaar” af met het lieflijke “Julia” en het euforische “Sterker Dan De Wind”. Producer en coauteur Gordon Groothedde gaf de nummers van de Volendamse singer-songwriters een stevige popinjectie.
