AC/DC entame le 3e millénaire avec Stiff Upper Lip. Depuis ses débuts dans les années 70, le groupe semble ne jamais perdre l’inspiration et délivre la même recette qui a fait fureur tout au long de sa longue carrière ; faisant éclater des lourd riffs au visage de l’auditeur, lui assénant une majestueuse claque de hard rock en pleine figure et l’assommant à coup de sonorités brutes, viscérales et massives. Pourquoi changer une formule lorsque celle-ci fonctionne à tous les coups ? Les frères Young sont depuis longtemps passés maitres dans leur art et parviennent toujours à trouver des mélodies imparables, mise en beauté par leur frère George Young qui co-produit l’album avec eux.
