Superkala by Course Of Nature - DeepRiffs

ALBUM

While the hard-hitting sound of trio Course of Nature doesn't blaze any new trails in the annals of rockdom, theirs is a very particular style. The band makes good use of heavy, metal-influenced guitar riffs, mostly courtesy of John "Fish" Mildrum, who does double duty as the group's bassist. Mark Wilkerson's vocals situate themselves somewhere between the nu-metal approach of groups like Staind and an early-'90s grunge influence. Similarly, the songs themselves are equal parts full-out riff-fest and melodic modern rock complete with string arrangements and melodic choruses. By covering so many bases at once, SUPERKALA seems destined to appeal to a wide range of listeners.
