Eddie C.'s skills as a unique blues songwriter certainly blossomed. His triumphant homecoming set contains some highly distinctive material -- a homespun "Sister Taught Me Guitar," and the incandescent title track, a forceful "Sleep," and "Busted," and a decidedly mystical "Son of Sons." ~ Bill Dahl
