This two-disc set of Irish folk music from Sanctuary Records features tracks by
the Dubliners, Finbar & Eddie Furey,
the Johnstons,
Dave Swarbrick, and several others. It's a solid collection with generous contributions by some well-known acts from the '60s and '70s, though with such a concentration on so few artists (three-four songs each) spread throughout its 30 tracks, it shouldn't be seen as fully representative of the greater traditional Irish folk scene during that period. Still, the amount of quality and often rare material gathered in one place makes this worth owning for fans of the genre. ~ Timothy Monger
