Blue Flannel Bathrobe Butterfly continues
the Yips' low-fi, American-indie shambling, laying out a series of raw, tinny tunes that are as charming in their pop moments as in their rock ones; they might be self-consciously over-amateurish at times, but
the Yips provide the same stripped-down, pop-songs-steeped-in-fuzz appeal of bands from the New Bad Things to the Beatnik Filmstars, and it's as lovely on Blue Flannel... as it's ever been. ~ Nitsuh Abebe
