Voetsek's debut album sounds like the Bay Area thrash punks heard
the Residents' thematically pure 1980 release
Commercial Album and decided to update it to match their own aesthetic criteria. At 40 songs in 23 minutes -- let's just review that: 40 songs in 23 minutes (!!!) --
Castrator Album is downright monastic in its simplicity. This is speedcore purified to its essence -- entire two-minute songs boiled down to between 15 and 58 seconds apiece with shouted female vocals at the point of unintelligibility and no-bull titles like "Tampons Should Be Free" and "If I Can't Read Yr Name, I'm Not Gonna Buy Yr Record." This is a non-stop hardcore rush, with humor and intelligence. ~ Stewart Mason
