CMH's
Celtic Tribute to Led Zeppelin: Long Ago and Far Away, performed by a very capable group of session players called the Boys from County Nashville may reek of novelty, but many of
Zeppelin's finest moments owe more than a little to the British folk genre. While the more rock-oriented tracks such as "Black Dog," "Dazed and Confused" and "What Is and What Should Never Be" strike a not so delicate balance between rustic and goofy (often the latter); the band's acoustic hits "Black Mountain Side," "Battle of Evermore" and "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" fit the arrangements like a well-worn glove. ~ James Christopher Monger
