Meghan Linsey wasn't a newcomer to music fans with long memories when she first appeared on the TV singing competition The Voice on February 23, 2015. Linsey was a member of the vocal duo Steel Magnolia with Joshua Scott Jones, and together they were winners on the 2009 season of the CMT series Can You Duet, going on to record an album in 2011 for Big Machine Records that peaked at number three on the country charts. But on The Voice, Linsey got the chance to show off the full range of her talents as a vocalist, from country to rock to blues to R&B to gospel, and she impressed audiences enough to finish the eighth season of The Voice as runner-up, finishing a close second to Sawyer Fredericks.
The Voice: The Complete Season 8 Collection collects Linsey's 14 on-air performances from her run on the show, as she belts out such showstoppers as "Don't Let Me Down," "Girl Crush," "Amazing Grace," "Steamroller Blues," "Freeway of Love," and many more. ~ Mark Deming
