A truly fantastic band who are not nearly as popular as they should be, Florida's The Crumbs spit out catchy numbers with fine feisty guitar licks, while singer Raf Classic has one of the best voices in punk rock. This is one of those stuck-in-a-broken-down van groups that never gets a break, though, they did get to tour with labelmates the Donnas once. There's a sort of bluesy, depressing vibe to some of the songs such as "Come Home," which shows these young punkers have also got some soul. Their subsequent album, Low and Behold, is a slightly more accomplished work, but fans of hard-luck, dumpster-diving-style, punk rock will want to try and locate a copy of The Crumbs' self-titled record at their friendly neighborhood punk rock record store.
