With mentors like the late
Dottie West, singer
Bob Luman and fellow guitar great
Chet Atkins,
Wariner has managed to remain vital in the music business since 1977. His deal with MCA, signed in 1984, has resulted in a career of some stature. An excellent technician, his guitar playing makes him a standout. Known for his soft touch in selecting material, songs like "The Weekend," "Can I Come Over Tonight" and "The Domino Theory," his most country country hit, built his reputation. Less obvious is his ability to pull out the stops, as he does on "Lynda," showing off his first recorded guitar solo, and "Life's Highway." ~ Jana Pendragon
