The Last Supper marks the debut of
the Down South Georgia Boyz (i.e.,
DSGB), a rowdy group of hardcore rappers overseen by Pastor Troy, who is credited with executive producing the album. This is an underground album and suffers at times from its low-budget production; however, the spirited performances, crude they may sometimes be, with their emphasis on aggression, are ample compensation for the lack of major-label gloss.
The Last Supper is worth tracking down for anyone curious about
Pastor Troy's early days. ~ Jason Birchmeier
