De Belgische formatie K`s Choice maakt in de jaren negentig furore. Na de grote successen lassen broer en zus Bettens een adempauze in om aan eigen projecten te werken, maar besluiten dan toch weer gezamelijk aan de slag te gaan. Maar op het album The Phantom Cowboy uit 2015 blijken de muzikanten ook binnen K`s Choice -verband behoefte te hebben aan vernieuwing. De plaat wordt geproduceerd door Alain Johannes, die menig hardrockalbum produceerde. Het resultaat is album dat wel typisch K's Choice is maar ook is overgoten met een stevige rocksaus en veel ruimte biedt aan de gitaren.
