Whether or not these 22 songs inspired
Jimi Hendrix or not, this would still be a nice collection, and it actually works as a well-sequenced and varied little blues primer, with classic but very different-sounding tracks like
Guitar Slim's "The Things That I Used to Do,"
Richard Berry's "Louie Louie,"
Son House's "Death Letter," and
Robert Johnson's "If I Had Possession Over Judgement Day." The end result is worth checking out even without the
Hendrix angle.
