Cliff Eidelman is virtually synonymous with the burgeoning chick flick genre, making him the ideal if predictable choice to score The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. To his credit,
Eidelman stretches out a bit here, managing a few clever twists on a formula with precious few opportunities to shake things up.
Eidelman's nimble, sincere melodies journey as far as the titular pantaloons, embracing idioms from jazz to world music to mystical pop. The end result is unabashedly romantic and a bit overdramatic, but it's undeniably well suited to the onscreen narrative. You will believe in the magic of pants. ~ Jason Ankeny
