Nothing is more disappointing than a greatest hits album that's nothing but later, lame re-cuts of the originals with nowhere near the verve or snap of the originals that climbed the charts. Unfortunately,
Little Richard was an artist who re-cut his hits for several different labels after the landmark originals for the Specialty label in the 1950s and this is one of those packages. Oddly enough, the version of "Slippin' and Slidin'" on here is the only original recording, as the rest are '60s re-cuts, including a "swing cats remix" of "Good Golly, Miss Molly." Pass this turkey and buy any of his Specialty packages for his best.
