The presented-by
Hypnotize Camp Posse album plays like a standard
Three 6 Mafia album, albeit a substandard one with a broader lineup of rappers.
Juicy J and
DJ Paul produce all the beats, as with all Hypnotize Minds releases, so it certainly sounds like a
Three 6 album. Furthermore, the rhetoric is typical for the collective, with song titles like "Azz & Tittiez," "Fie It on Up," and "Don't Make Me Kill" fairly emblematic of the agenda. The main difference is the broadened lineup of rappers, which consists of affiliates such as La Chat,
Killa Klan,
Koopsta Knicca,
Crunchy Black, and
T-Rock as well as a guest appearance by
Pastor Troy on "Big Mouth, Big Talk." The other difference is that the songs aren't very developed, as if
J and
Paul wanted to save their better ideas for the next
Three 6 album while letting their
Hypnotize Camp affiliates trudge through these half-hearted efforts. [The clean version edits the profanity.] ~ Jason Birchmeier
