A two-disc snapshot of this band's more vital work, from the meat-and-potatoes rock of their eponymous 1970 debut, the thematic, progressive-minded peak of Pilgrimage and
Argus, and a return to more basic structures for
Wishbone 4. Mercifully, their less "enduring" albums from the later '70s and early '80s are touched on only sporadically. The set includes a pair of previously unreleased tracks and a good booklet with interviews; somehow the digital remastering has left the sound a little thin. ~ Roch Parisien
