Tipping the Scales follows
No Innocent Victim's pattern of typical fast-paced, breakneck-speed hardcore. Sludgy guitars and low, guttural vocals with an occasional groove part in the mix create an atmosphere which seems redundant and thuggish. Much of the material starts to sound the same almost immediately, and the need for 11 songs of it seems rather absurd. Compared to their past works, Tipping the Scales doesn't seem to offer up any new possibilities, and, in fact, shows the band seeming to tread on thin ice as it relates to creative ideas. ~ Kurt Morris
